It's the time of the year again, for the lolita wardrobe post! My favorite theme of the year on the EGL community. I'm again a little bit scared to make a post on the EGL community and I don't have enough time to do it either. That's why I decided to only make post on my blog...

My wardrobe changed a lot through the year, I sold about half of my lolita wardrobe and I bought a few new items. I also made a few handmade items. I'm so much happier with my wardrobe compared with last year, I love every piece of clothing. It's still half gothic and half sweet, it's not impossible you know! ^__~

Like I said before my lolita wardrobe changed a lot through the year.

I think I created a nice balance between brand, offbrand, indie brand and handmade.

An all brand wardrobe is too expensive for me because I am a student and I don't have that much money. Handmade, offbrand and Indie brand make outfits more unique and I love to wear outfits which are totally my taste and a little bit different than other lolita outfits. 

Things I should buy this year:

- Pink cardigans 

- A new black hat

- More stockings

- Pink shoes

- Pink Angelic Pretty Socks & other socks

- Hair flowers

- Sweet lolita bag

-  Black gather belt bloomers  

Things I shouldn't buy:

- Headbows

- Hair accessories (except for hats)

- Too short dresses

- No metamorphose skirts or dresses (instead of those items, buy socks or hats)

- Expensive (brand) blouses

Dark Rococo Romance (new dress)

Hello!! ^__^

My new dress, it's at home, I'm so happy! After some misunderstandings about the zipper it's at home again... I already mentioned that I ordered a dress from 4 o'clock (by Linda Friesen) only I haven't told any details about the dress. Some of you know that I'm organizing a rococo high tea together with my friend Josine and it was a great chance to buy a new dress. It was always a dream to buy a dress from 4 o'clock! 

I really love this dress, it's so detailed and the design is amazing. It my favorite dress now <3

There is a layer of (good quality) tulle on the dress, it's makes the design so unique. And also a thing that I really like are the stiffeners in the front of dress, the shape of the dress is perfect. Oh and it fits perfectly!

Gift Swap Meeting

About the lolita blog carnival from last week.. I fell ill again so I couldn't answer or read any of your comments/posts.
I'm glad I feel better again. Next time when I join a LBC post I will read the other posts too. 

Yesterday I went to the Gift Swap meeting, an annual lolita meeting of our lolita community. 

The idea of the meeting is that you make or buy some gifts for another lolita and another lolita makes or buys something for you. It's all random and you can't tell anyone which person you have for the gift swap. It was the first time that I went to this meeting because I'm a little bit afraid that the other person won't like my gifts... I know it's silly.. >.< 

So.. I decided to surmount my fears and join the gift swap meeting. And it was a good thing.. it was so much fun! I also decided to wear sweet lolita, which was the first time in the winter. I never felt like wearing it in the winter, only last Saturday I thought why not? Let's give it a try ^_~ 

Why shouldn't I wear sweet lolita in the winter?

Recently I saw a blog post of my friend Damien about his outfits in the year 2011 and I really liked that. I also want to have a sort of memorial outfit movie of the year. I never remember what I wear if I don't make pictures or movies, hahaha.
Enough talking about myself and my outfit because this meeting wasn't about me
It's about giving presents to lolita friends. (and also receiving presents!!)

I got Catherine for the gift swap and I was really happy about that. She is such a nice person and we both wear sweet and gothic lolita, there aren't many lolitas who wear both of these styles. I made a cute box for her and I have given her a mirror, a bunny wallet, strawberry socks, cute little cards and a hello kitty phone strap. I really hope she liked it. ^__^

Dieuwke gave me presents.

She bought a bonnet and special tea for me.  I really love those presents because I always drink tea when I'm at home. And about the bonnet, I totally love it! It's so perfect! *_*

It was so strange because on my way to the meet-up place I talked with my friend Rosy about me wanting to buy or make a bonnet. Coincidence right?

It was so a great day, I met some new lolitas and it was great to see my friends again.
I really liked to see everyone so happy because of the presents. Now I think it's one of the most amazing meetings of the year. At last I really want to thank Dieuwke, thank you very much for the nice presents I really love them. ^____^

Lolita Blog Carnival: Favorite Lolita Indie Brand (4 O'Clock)

Happy new year everyone!! <3 I wanted to look back at 2012 and make some new resolutions like I did last year. Unfortunately I fell ill and I couldn't do this... I hope I will be able to do this in a few days. First a new Lolita Blog Carnival, it's about indie brands and I really like the subject. My favorite indie lolita brand is 4 O'Clock (former Mirror) by Linda Friesen, it's the one most amazing lolita brand of the world and I don't think the label indie brand would be enough, it's equal (or even better) than the famous lolita brands. 4 O'clock is a brand that is specialized in creating elegant custom made doll-like garments. 

Everything is made in a custom size, that's why there are no items in stock. There is also a possibility to order your own custom design, I truly recommend you to do that. It's so amazing because you will get a dress that suits you style perfectly and it's in your own size.

4 O'Clock yet, it's one of my big dreams to buy a dress from this brand. That's why I made a custom order and this dress will arrive in a few days. (I won't show it's a work in progress picture) When the dress arrives I will show it you for sure, I'm really looking forward to see the dress for real. I'm pretty sure it will be even more beautiful! <3
