Fly Away Fashion Sparkly Winter Night Tea party

I went to the Fly Away Fashion tea party last week. I was really looking forward to it,tea parties are always so much fun and I love food! The trip to the Fly Away Fashion shop was also fun because I traveled together with 3 friends. ^__^

The tea party was a theme meetup this time, the theme was Sparkly Winter Night. We were all supposed to dress up in our favorite winter outfits. Sounds nice right? This was my first idea of a coord:

JSK: Moi-même-Moitié

Pullover: H&M

Fake fur collar: Fly Away Fashion

Tights: Taobao

Shoes: offbrand

Only when I tried the clothes on it looked awful! The white fur color and the tights really mismatched, I had to make a new coord. >.< I didn't wear a wig the weather was very windy that's why I was too afraid to lose my wig.

When we arrived we met up with Katie the shop owner and designer of Fly Away Fashion and we were told to go upstairs. Upstairs we were welcomed by Katie and she told us about the high tea, the new collection and about other topics related to the meetup. Katie wore a wonderful dress, she looked so great, the dress was also part of the new collection.

Then we could enjoy our tea and sweets or visit the shop downstairs. I talked with some friends first while I ate a lot of delicious food like cake, sandwiches and brownies.

There were also many people which I haven't met before, it was nice to meet them. Unfortunately I couldn't talk with everyone there were so many people! After that I visited the shop where I ordered new shoes. ^__^ I haven't bought anything else because I'm waiting for a dress already... At last we all had to go upstairs for the outfit competition and the lottery. The outfit competition was a winter themed just like the meetup, 5 beautiful girls participated the competition. They all looked wonderful! <3 Josine was the winner of the competition. Let me show you all of  them!

In the end there was a lottery, there were three prices. I was so lucky I won the second price! ^__^

I won a tights and strawberry socks. I can't wait to wear those...

In the evening we went with a some girls to a Chinese restaurant and then it was already time to go home.Thanks everyone for the nice day especially Katie, you did a great job organizing the sparkly winter night tea party. Next time I will definitely go again, I can't wait!

Little green monster dress ^__^

A blog update! Yay! I want to update my blog more often but the last few weeks I couldn't find anymore time...ughh...

There is good news, I finished my green dress which was inspired on this green Moi-même-Moitié jsk. It's not exactly the same, it looks really like it only I changed a few things I didn't like. I had no green lace, I don't see that as a problem because I thought it would turn out the wrong way. Good quality green lace is very rare I suppose, I haven't find it. And I personaly think it's too much, green lace on a green dress! Oh, by the way, is it true that the real dress also has blue lace on it? I want to know, I'm not sure..

So...this is the real one~~

First work in progress:

this is part of the skirt, it's 275 cm long O_o The little yellow thing on the fabric is a bird (not a real one) it about 5cm..

Anyone curious about the finished dress? Yes? Okay, I will show it! ^__^

That's it? I very happy with the result! I never thought it was going to be like this!

Green is a very diffiult color when you talk about lolita so I was kind of scared because I thought:  ''maybe it's going to look very ita-ish''

Luckily it doesn't look cheap!

I call it the little green monster dress because it was so much work to make this.. there were many times I lost my way while I was sewing the skirt. The skirt(s) was big enough to use it as a tent xD

Very usefull if you can't go home anymore when the last train just left? Hahaha..  

Some interesting facts:

* The dress exist of 3 meter fabric

* More than 6 meter lace

* 4 meter black band

* The fabric 100 % cotton

* I spend three months working on this dress

* The corset doesn't work it's only there to be pretty xD

Long time no see! This week was busy, with fun thing and with very sad things...

I went to a BJD meeting on Sunday, that was so much fun! It's was a gift exchange, only the person

who made presents for me wasn't able to come because of personal issues. I hope that the presents will arrive soon. ^^

Yesterday I went to a  lolita Valentine meeting, I'm going to tell more about this when the time is ready, because it was a 'special' meeting (for television)

So sweet of her! Everyone at the meeting got a cute cupcake I this.

It was a great day and very nice to see my friends again.

I'm so happy that I got the change to meet all of you, the Dutch Community is

amazing, I can't imagine my life without lolita.

Lolita isn't all about the clothes, it's also about friendship.

I know people say mean things about my community, please don't

 be afraid of that, it's not true.

Hello everyone! ^_^

It's the first post of the year, I want to say happy new year to all of you!

The year 2012, who knows what it's going to bring us.

I hope it will be a great year for all of us!

So... now I want to talk.. talk about the new year,I have this feeling things are going to change.

Some of you know (the Dutch lolitas) that I'm selling some of  my lolita clothes.

It's not because I want to stop wearing lolita, I still love it so much! <3

Only there are some things that are more important and I want to love the clothes that I have in

my closet.

That's the whole problem, I don't like all my lolita clothing...

I because of I changed and my style changed a lot too.

I don't like the things I totally loved some years ago.

I want to have a lolita closet I can be proud of and I want to love all the items I have.

Don't wanna have items to make my closet look bigger.

So I hope I can sell the items I don't like anymore and buy something of it I totally love! ^______^

Hello everyone! ^____^

Some weeks ago I said I was working on a belt for myself.

Let me tell you why: I saw this belt on the blog from Velvetbat and I loved that belt.

I was so pretty, I wanted to have something like that myself...

So.. I asked if she wanted to do a commission, but she said no.

*Now I totally understand this, Velvetbat! It's difficult to make a belt like this, it's not that

easy as it looks like...*

Still I wanted to have that pretty belt, that's why I asked my teacher if I could make something

like that and I could...

Three weeks later, I finished this corset and I'm so happy!

It's not perfect, I know that, but I put lots of energy in it so I'm happy it's finished.

And this is the one Velvetbat made, the belt I made is based on this one because I like it

more than the original.

This weekend I was reading the news paper and I saw this, it's about Ball Jointed Dolls and their owners:

It written in Dutch, it's about their dolls, why they have dolls like that, how many dolls they own and

what they do with their dolls..

It was very interesting to read!  ^^

A friend of mine made a drawing for me, I'm so happy! :D
