Elf Fantasy Fair Haarzuilens 2013

Last week I went to the Elf Fantasy Fair, like I told you when I showed my outfit. First I wasn't sure about going just for one day or the whole weekend. I already bought my Saturday ticket but I was too tired in the evening to visit the EFF on Sunday. It was an amazing day! I saw so many friends and even a few friends which I haven't seen for about half a year. My life is far too busy these days...It was so great to talk with them again. ^__^

A wonderful visitor

I needed to travel to Haarzuilens all alone, so I was a little bit scared at first. I don't like to the travel all alone when wearing lolita. I guess I was worrying too much, many people were really nice to me and asked where I was going and why I was dressed up like that. In the morning I went to visit some shops at the market with Simone, her boyfriend and a friend. Then I met up with Marcella and her boyfriend by accident, I was so surprised because when I talked to her last time she wasn't sure about visiting the Elf. There should have been a lolita meeting at 13.00 only just a few lolitas showed up and the group left. My day existed finding out where my friends where, there where so many people at the Elf Fantasy Fair there is no way you can find someone easily! Then I was only left with Damien and his partner, we lost all the others. We went to the steampunk area, it was awesome! All those amazing detailed costumes and furniture. That's why I like steampunk so much.

After that I saw some frogs in the water ~~ I love frogs so I had to take a picture!

After visiting some shops I saw my friend Rosy and I decided to go to a lecture from Linda Ravenscroft with her. The lecture was great, she even showed some of her original works. ^__^ She is such a wonderful person. 

Then we did some shopping, I bought a book from Oscar Wilde and a muffin. I already ate the muffin (!!) and maybe I will show the book later.

Demon Lolita

I promised to show some photos of the Elf fantasy fair when I got them all. There is one problem, I don't have every photo, I'm still waiting for a few... It's not a problem at all, everyone is very busy, I understand because I'm so busy myself! I'm still hoping that I get every picture. ^___^

About my outfit

I wanted to wear something different this year, only I still wanted to wear lolita.

That's why I decided to combine lolita with demon horns. It's still lolita, with a little fantasy touch, which is more suitable for the Elf Fantasy Fair. The dress is handmade, I really wanted to wear because the last time I wore the dress it was July, I think. So long ago! 

My theme of the day was Demon Princess, it's was nice to look like a elegant demon for one day. 

I wanted to try something dark and different so I used some fantasy items and the colors green, black and gold. I hope you all like it!

Elf fantasy fair Haarzuilens 2012

I love this outfit!!! It's amazing!!

Yesterday I went to the Elf Fantasy Fair with my friend Rosy. ^___^

I was really looking forward to it because it's my favourite festival, I could meet many friends and meet new people. I hadn't slept well the night before so please ignore my face >.<

The sad thing about the EFF was that the weather was so bad. Rain and lots of wind, not so well if you wear a costume, lolita or whatever.

My deco stuff wasn't waterproof or windproof, I lost many things which I found back thanks to my friends and other visitors only I did not like that... I wanted to wear all the stuff not loosing it!

I even lost my contacts because of the wind O_o I found them again, that's a miracle (!) but yeah, it was still very stressfull...

Enough complaining, the weather didn't ruin my day! The EFF was still amazing! So many amazing outfits, a few examples:

Not many pictures but hopefully enough to give my followers a good impression. I just can't dressing up, modelling on pictures, meeting friends and photographing at the same time. I want to go sometimes just to make pretty pictures. ^__^

So, what did I do yesterday: first I went fixing my outfit, after that we went searching for a place without rain, then we met a friend of Rosy.

Then I went to all the nice shops on the market, after that the Lolita meeting started.

The lolita meeting was really short, also because of the weather, it started to rain after 20 minutes...

Not so nice if you wear lolita!
That's why everyone split up to another place, unfortunately!  

It was raining for more than an hour, that's why we stayed a while in a nice gothic shop.

With pretty clothes, I have lots of inspiration now!

After an hour the sun was back again, oh I can tell you, there are not many times I was so happy to see the sun! We went walking again, saw many amazing people and costumes.

Then we meet up again with the lolitas in the steampunk tent, yes that's possible. xD

We stayed a while in the tent, after that we went to searching for Simone's friends.

Then we met Jannike, that was nice I haven't seen her since November.

I can tell you that one photographer who made pictures from Rosy, Marcella and I at the EFF in Arcen also made some picture from me (and Rosy) at this EFF.
I hope I get them because I really liked those.

So that's all, after that we went home~~

And I was so tired...but it was a fun day!

I hope that everyone who went to the Elf Fantasy Fair had a nice day. And I really hope that the weather will be better next time.

Back to Black (EFF arcen 2011)

It's already a week ago since my last post on this blog..
The time is moving so fast, I couldn't find time for blogging last week.
I want to tell something about the Elf Fantasy Fair from this weekend, I went on Sunday.

The Elf Fantasy Fair is an outdoor fantasy event in the Netherlands which is traditionally held in April since 2001, but from 2009 it is held twice per year in Haarzuilens (in April at Castle de Haar) and in Arcen (in September at Castle Arcen). The Haarzuilens fair is the largest fantasy event in Europe and attracts some 22,500 visitors every year. The fair is managed by Stefan Struik since 2008, who also initiated the event in 2001. Apart from fantasy there is also representation from the science fiction, LARP, gothic, manga, cosplay and historical reenactment genres.

Since two years I go to both of the fairs, the one in Haarzuilens and to the one in Arcen. I have to admit, I like the fair in Arcen more, that's because of the location. For me it's very easy to travel to Arcen, it's only 20 minutes by car. The parc is very beautiful and there are lots of places without all the people so you can rest a little bit if you want to.

About my outfit:
I decided to wear something black, everything in the outfit had to be black, silver or gold.
My theme was to look like a cute gothic lady, the make-up is Amy Winehouse inspired.
Although you cannot see it very well! I'm trying to improve my make-up skills, I hate it when people

can't see it while I worked so hard on it  >.<
I like this outfit, I spent much money on it but it's worth it... I do not regret it, I love gothic lolita.
At the moment more than sweet lolita.

About the Elf Fantasy Fair itself:
It was so much fun! I saw lots of amazing people who wore such a beautiful outfits,
I listened to some nice bands (and some awful bands xD), I met some of my friends and I met new nice people. One day is way to short, I wish I can go the whole weekend next year.
This year I couldn't go on Saterday because of my best friends' birthday, that's more important than the EFF of course!

For the ones who live in Holland: Did you all survive the earthquake? Hahaha I'm joking it wasn't anything serious.. But I was very scared at first! I have never experienced a earthquake before..

Here is a little preview of what I'm going to wear next week wit the Elf Fantasy Fair in Arcen, I'm looking forward to it! The Elf fantasy Fair is a Dutch convention for people who want to be someone else for a day or they want to be him/herself for a day without all the negative reactions..
It's a festival for Goths, Lolitas, Cosplayers... I can go on for an hour, you can see everything that's not mainstream there. ^^

Oh and I'm wearing my new wig, what do you think about it? * I think it's so weird to have black hair xD*

I definitely not used to it, to have black hair.. I always wanted to have black hair though xD
Still I'm very happy it's a wig, you can put it off!
I very happy with the wig, it's so soft, I love the curls and of course the color. ^^

And my outfit? That's a secret! You will see it, at the EFF.
Oh and I nearly forgot to tell something, I have a new dress! A lolita dress!
Wasn't you challenging yourself to buy no lolita clothes again? Yes, I was...
At least I didn't bought it... I will show you soon... very sooooooooon!

Elf Fantasy Fair ^_^

Zo even in het Nederlands dat is wat makkelijker voor mij en volgens mij
zijn al mijn volgers toch Nederlands :P
Zondag ben ik bij de EFF geweest en dat was erg leuk, het was voor mij
de derde keer, ik vind het zo'n leuk evenement! Ik ben er samen met Rosy
naartoe geweest en onze dolls. Rosy had Michanou bij en ik had Nono bij,
anders is het natuurlijk te veel slepen met al die dolls xD

Dit was mijn outfit:

Ik ben ook naar de lolitameeting geweest, het was erg leuk om iedereen weer
te zien en om iedereen te spreken. Iedereen zag er erg mooi uit. ^_^
Jammer genoeg was de meeting erg kort dus ik hoop snel weer naar een meeting te gaan!

Ik vind het zo mooi om te zien dat mensen zoveel aandacht aan hun outfit besteed hebben,
vooral als mensen zelf hun outfit maken voor de EFF. Daar heb ik echt respect voor!
Ik heb jammer genoeg niet veel foto's gemaakt omdat ik het zo druk had met rondkijken.

Ik voor Nono een nieuw kledingsetje gekocht een pandakostuum echt zo lief, ik kon het gewoon niet laten liggen.
